Avetisyan brand is a holistic handmade soap and cold pressed oil production company started by one pharmacist’s quest for pure and healing ingredients found in nature. The company was founded by Nelli Avetisyan, a pharmacist and a former professor at the School of Pharmacy at Yerevan State University, Armenia. In 2013 Nelly Avetisyan received “The Best Woman Innovator, Entrepreneur” award from the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia. Avetisyan combines her professional knowledge with ancient Armenian holistic living traditions to develop new categories of the body care products.

Rooted in Ancient Armenian Tradition
Nelli dug into the manuscripts and folk knowledge of medieval Armenia – drawing on recipes used by physicians like Amirdovlat of Amasia – and revived soap making techniques nearly forgotten. This means each soap bar is more than modern craft -it’s a reinterpretation of cultural heritage in skincare form.
Scientific grounding
With a background as a pharmacist and university professor, Nelli applied scientific rigor to her craft. She investigated water contamination, chemical residues and built her own formulas from the ground up.
Thus the soaps:

Artistic expression in form & packaging
The bars themselves are visually crafted: the ingredients ( herbs, clay, colors) become the pallet. Packaging is thoughtful -e.g., new biodegradable wrap material called Tork’e, developed and crafted by the author.
Gift sets are housed in plywood boxes adorned with Armenian ornaments.
Thus the piece is as much sculpture and design as it is soap.
